Frequently Asked Questions About Our Wedding Photography & Film Services
If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for here, don’t hesitate to contact us – we’re happy to help.
1) Do You Charge for Travel?
Yes, we include travel within about 100 km of Berlin and Magdeburg in our pricing. For destinations further away in Europe and worldwide, we calculate travel based on actual costs and logistics and discuss everything transparently before booking.
2) Do You Offer Destination Weddings?
Yes. We love capturing weddings in beautiful places wherever you dream of getting married. Let us know your location and we’ll plan travel and coverage together. We aim to arrive early when possible so we can scout locations and feel confident about lighting and timing.
3) How Many Creatives Will Come With Us?
Depending on your needs, we can work as a duo, covering both photography and videography, or individually if you only book one service. This ensures meaningful coverage from different perspectives while staying unobtrusive.
4) What Happens If the Weather Is Bad?
We welcome all weather. Some of the most emotional and cinematic moments happen unexpectedly.
If it rains, we come prepared with a large transparent umbrella that looks beautiful in photos while keeping you comfortable. We can also find a bright indoor space or a covered location to continue shooting naturally.
No matter the conditions, we’ll guide you calmly and make sure your images still feel authentic, relaxed, and true to your day.
5) How Does Payment Work?
To secure your date, we require a retainer after signing the contract. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding day. All payment details are clearly outlined in your booking agreement.
6) When Will We Get Our Photos and Film?
For photography, delivery is usually within 2 weeks, and we commit to delivering your full gallery within a maximum of 6 weeks.
For wedding films, delivery is typically around 6 weeks, and we commit to delivering your final film within a maximum of 3 months.
All galleries and films are delivered online in high resolution, ready to download and share.
7) Do We Get Copyright?
You are free to share and print your photos and films for personal use. The creative authorship remains with us, while you receive full personal usage rights.
8) Do You Provide RAW or Unedited Files?
We deliver carefully curated and professionally edited final images and films that reflect our signature style.
RAW files are available for purchase if you wish, but they are not included by default, as they do not represent the finished quality of our work.
If you wish, we can also provide colour-graded versions of your footage for a small additional fee. This ensures your videos look polished, cinematic, and consistent with our storytelling style.
9) Do You Shoot Analog Film?
Yes! We also shoot analog film, including 35 mm, for couples who want a timeless, organic look.
We love analog film because it captures light, texture, and emotion in a way digital cannot. The soft grain, natural tones, and subtle imperfections give every frame a romantic, authentic, and nostalgic feel. Film encourages us to slow down, observe moments more carefully, and create images that feel alive, intimate, and full of soul. For couples who cherish emotion and timelessness, film is a love letter to their day.
10) Can You Use Our Photos and Films in Your Portfolio?
We love sharing selected images and films to show future couples how we work and to keep our portfolio authentic. Real weddings help other couples understand our style and storytelling approach.
If you prefer full privacy and do not want any images or footage to be published, we absolutely respect that decision. In this case, we charge a 30% surcharge on the total package price, capped at a maximum of 500€.
We apply this because our portfolio and public work are an essential part of how we market our studio and attract future clients. When we are unable to use the work for promotional purposes, it directly impacts our visibility and business growth. The surcharge helps balance that limitation while fully honouring your privacy.
For photography, there is no surcharge if you allow us to use images where only the bride and groom are visible, and no guest faces are clearly recognisable.
If requested, we will also not publish any photos of children without any surcharge.
11) How Many Photos Will We Receive?
We don’t limit your images by number — instead, we deliver a thoughtfully curated collection that tells the complete story of your day.
For standard coverage:
-
8 hours: minimum 400 photos, typically 500–700 photos
-
12 hours: minimum 600 photos, typically 600–900 photos
12) How Would You Describe Your Photography and Film Style?
Our style is cinematic, authentic, and story-driven. We are inspired by the language of film, natural light, movement, and atmosphere, while staying true to real emotions as they unfold.
Nothing is overly posed or forced. We guide gently when needed, but most of the time we observe and let moments happen naturally. The result feels like a film of your own story, honest, emotional, and timeless.
13) What If You Are Sick?
While it has never happened, we understand your concern — anyone can get sick.
If we are unable to photograph or film your wedding due to illness, emergency, accident, or circumstances beyond our control, all payments will be fully refunded, fulfilling our contractual obligations.
If such a rare situation arises, we have a network of trusted photographers with a similar style that we can call on to cover your wedding. You will never be left without coverage.
14) What Happens If the Wedding Is Postponed, Rescheduled, or Cancelled?
We understand that plans can change, and we want to ensure this process is clear and fair for everyone.
-
If you reschedule your wedding and we can accommodate the new date, your reservation payment will be transferred and applied to the new contract.
-
If you reschedule your wedding and we are unable to accommodate the new date, the reservation payment is non-refundable; however, all other payments will be refunded.
-
If you cancel your wedding entirely, the reservation payment is non-refundable, but all other payments will be refunded.
This policy ensures clarity and fairness while giving you confidence that we take our responsibilities seriously.
15) Can We Transfer the Contract and Paid Reservation to Another Couple If We Need to Cancel?
Yes, it is possible to transfer your booking to another couple with our prior approval.
The new couple must agree to the same terms of the contract, and all payments already made can be applied to their booking. We handle these situations case by case to ensure a smooth transition and that your reserved date remains secured.
16) Who Decides the Creative Choices in Our Photos and Films? Can We Request Changes?
All photos and wedding films are created according to our artistic vision. This includes the selection and order of scenes, music, tone, dialogue, and colour grading. Every creative team has its own signature style, and by booking us, couples acknowledge and trust our creative decisions.
Within two weeks after the final delivery, small edits are possible — for example, swapping up to five scenes. Larger changes, such as replacing music or reordering the film sequence, require additional work and may incur extra fees, which will always be agreed upon in advance.
If you wish to select your own music, please inform us before the wedding day, so we can incorporate your preferences seamlessly.
17) Do You Have Backup Equipment?
Yes. We always come fully prepared with multiple professional cameras, backup lenses, audio recorders, microphones, and plenty of batteries and memory cards.
Redundancy is extremely important to us. We never rely on a single piece of equipment, so if anything unexpected happens, we can continue seamlessly without missing any important moment of your day.
18) Do We Need to Provide Meals for You and the Team?
From 6-hour coverage, we kindly ask that you provide a meal for us and any assisting team members.
This ensures we stay energised and focused throughout the day
19) Do You Need Accommodation?
Depending on the type and length of coverage, we may require accommodation, especially for destination weddings or multi-day celebrations.
We will always discuss this with you in advance and find the most convenient solution so that we arrive rested and ready to capture your day perfectly.
